its something my boyfriend suggested that would be a good idea in a zombie apocolypse event and then thought to prove me wrong found some "blue prints" for it saying it would sooo work and i being sensibly reasonable person tht i am told him it wont work they are tooo big!!!!

i agree the only thing you can do with a chainsaw with a gun is use it as a bayonett like in Gears Of War, but it had a saw not a chainsaw.
